How to Bet – The Logic of Betting

In order to win in betting you have to understand how betting works or to understand the world of betting. Each horse in a race has the odds attached to him according to his breading, previous race record etc. the odds are given by the “Oddsmakers”/”Odds Compilers”. These odds represent their opinion on the horse’s chances of winning the race plus a commission. Overtime if you want to be a winner in betting you have to beat these Oddsmaker or in other words become better at evaluating horse’s chances of winning.
You can place bets through Sports books or Sportsbooks in the United States or through Bookmakers in the UK. Usually these people accept bets for other sports events as well. Some Sportsbooks also act as Oddsmaker but it is not the same thing at all.
Betting is available online, over the phone or physically at sportsbooks premises or on the track.
